This is us in front of the Polar Express train.
Here is a pretty good shot of the Indian ruins that we hiked up to in Walnut Creek.
These caves are some of the best preserves of Indian ruins. It was neat for the girls to see how people lived so long ago.

The walkway was pretty narrow and I am a total worrywort anyways so I kept reminding the girls to stay close to the mountain. Fortunately the Parks and Recreation Center let you borrow a backpack for babies.

Me and the girls on the trail.

Justin and I took the kids up to Flagstaff, Arizona on December 5th to enjoy a long weekend up there before climbing aboard the Polar Express on Sunday night. We got up there Friday and the weather was cold but clean and fresh with all those pine trees. We met Justin's brother Ryan and his wife and their kids up there along with Justin's parents (his sister Christie joined us for the Polar Express on Sunday). On Saturday we met everyone for lunch and then strolled around town looking at all the little shops. Saturday night Justin's parents kept all the grandkids in their hotel room and we went to dinner at Black Bart's Steak House. It was so fun. The dinner was fine but it was the entertainment that really made the place. The waiters and waitresses all took turns going up to this little stage at one end of the restaraunt and they would sing various Broadway songs. Then a couple times one of them would start off singing on stage and then all the others in their various positions in the restaraunt would chime in and start singing as they poured water or bussed tables. It was great. On Sunday our family headed up to Walnut Creek to hike down to the Sinagua Indian Ruins. It was about a mile hike and it was awesome. There are hundreds of old ruins from 800 years ago-these people lived in the sides of the mountains and it was so cool to be able to walk in the rock house they left behind. We had a great time. Then we headed to Williams to meet everyone again and ride the Polar Express Sunday night. It was a great trip!

Marcelle, you have a beautiful family. You haven't changed or aged a bit. Still pretty as ever! :) Looks like you guys had lots of fun there.
